Mubarak marked another milestone in its fleet development with the official naming ceremony of Mubarak 243 at Dubai Maritime City, attended by Chairman and CEO Juma Mubarak.

Built by Dubai Shipbuilding and Engineering (DSBE) for Mubarak Marine, the new coastal tug combines compact dimensions with impressive towing power and manoeuvrability.

Measuring 24.6 metres in length, Mubarak 243 delivers 27 tonnes of bollard pull, powered by twin marine diesel engines producing a combined 2,000 bhp. The vessel is equipped with advanced towing equipment, twin bow thrusters and a 5-tonne deck crane, making it well suited to a wide range of coastal marine operations.

Officially classed by Bureau Veritas, Mubarak 243 reflects the group’s continued investment in modern marine capabilities and the shipbuilding expertise of DSBE.

The naming ceremony was also an opportunity to recognise the teams involved in bringing the vessel to completion and celebrate another addition to the Mubarak Marine fleet.
